Major media including newspapers and radio have swarmed my shop for articles and pictures. It makes me feel like a movie star after winning. Once the press released the details, my phone rang off the hook with people wanting my address, my pie sales have gone through the roof, causing my bakery to work double shifts to keep up with the escalating demand.

Our seafood pie sales have increased 150% already and the other pies are moving out the door and have increased about 80%...so that's been great!

What surprised me most was the amount of attention the media gave us from newspapers, radio stations and even the television net works. Most of them made time to come out and interview us on the win. Sales were affected immediately - bakers were doing double shifts and pie sales almost tripled. We took advantage of the win and did some local marketing which has made a big difference in our branding. Winning the award this year is a priority.
